Any fisherman holding an annual fishing license is a member of his “local” fishing association, the official name of which is Association Agréée de Pêche et de Protection du Milieu Aquatique (AAPPMA).
As such, he can participate in general meetings and express himself on his expectations. He can also join the board of directors to actively participate in the management of his leisure time.
As a fisherman adhering to an AAPPMA
It is important to participate in these assemblies, it partly contributes to the life of the association.
The department has hundreds of volunteer fishermen who dedicate themselves occasionally or regularly to their associative commitments.
Fall 2021
The end of the year 2021 will be marked by the election of the members of the board of directors of the AAPPMA (giving rise to the vote of the board). The mandates generally correspond to a period of 5 years.
Following the sanitary conditions at the end of 2020, these mandates had been extended for one year following the impossibility of holding these elective assemblies.
Who can vote?
Active members, i.e. people holding a Major Person card (Landes or Interfédérale Landes), a Minor Person card or a Woman Discovery card.
Who can be a candidate for the board of directors?
Any active member who has paid the subscription for the current year and that of the previous year (fishing card 2020 and 2021)
So if you have any questions, want to know more or participate in the evolution of fishing in your territory, it goes first of all through these annual GAs.

This form of solidarity is irreplaceable. Without volunteers, there would be no more associations. So if you want to become an active volunteer within an AAPPMA, do not hesitate any longer and go to the General Assembly of your association to express yourself!
