the good fishing spots
Ponds and lakes on the coastline
Along the entire length of the Atlantic coast, numerous ponds and freshwater lakes are suitable for fishing due to their abundant fish and easy access. They present a specific environment with sandy bottoms, surrounded by pines or oaks for relatively low average depths, between 1.50 and 2 m and aquatic vegetation that can be abundant. To discover: about fifteen bodies of water ranging from a few hectares to more than 5,600 ha.

Adour and Gaves river – DOWNSTREAM
The south-south-east of the department is strongly marked by the presence of the Adour river, still relatively wild. Accessibility is less there but many areas are still maintained and cleared for comfortable fishing. The lower Adour and Gaves are marked by the strong presence of mules alongside bream, barbel or roach.
